BACKUP/RESTORE BACKUP

I saw just now, that italian language will be blocked....

However, I need HELP with an old backup, made with VTE version 4.
I have called the company, but there is no way to have any solution, because I am an free user.
I think that VTE company should give support to any user, like Team Viewer and other free software.
I don't understand why VTE can do backup, but can't restore it directly from VTE!
Now in the new version even you can't do backups!
All this without any support from VTE.
Can anybody help me STEP BY STEP to restor old backups made with VTE 4.0?
I have more then 3000 contacts, leads and opened tickets and I need to restore all this database.
I have no idea how to use php, or programming, and I'm very disappointed to use an free crm, where VTE let you to use it free, but if there's any issues VTE let you alone!
